A FAMILY of four was devastated after all their belongings were burnt in a house fire earlier this month, and to help them after their ordeal, the Brunei Darussalam Red Crescent Society (BDRCS) in the Tutong District contributed what they could to the victims by handing over some living and food essentials.
The head of the family is 70-year-old Haji Abdullah bin Haji Metamit, who was living with his two sons and one granddaughter.
The contributions were donated by the members of BDRCS and their families.
The donations hoped to ease the difficulties that the victims are currently facing.
The involvement of BDRCS also hoped to encourage the spirit of charity and communal living in society, particularly among the youths and members of BDRCS.
The handover was held on Sunday afternoon at the victim’s home that was destroyed by fire.
