THE National Security Committee, through the National Crisis Centre at the Prime Minister’s Office, is currently conducting a joint border security-related exercise at control posts.
The exercise, codenamed ‘Eksesais Check-point 01/2016’, was held yesterday at the Kuala Lurah Immigration Control Post in the Brunei-Muara District.
Security and enforcement agencies at the Kuala Lurah Immigration Control Post, with assistance from other agencies in the government, were tested with various security and emergency scenarios that required strategic and joint responses, a press release said.
The security and enforcement agencies as well as the emergency services will strive to enhance their respective individual and joint capabilities in preparation to counter any security threats at the border and control posts, it added.
The exercise will be held until November 27.
