Haji Brahim bin Haji Ismail, the Chief Executive Officer of DANA in his remark highlighted, “This year’s project SMS Brunei Prihatin for DANA is the 11th since it first started in 2006. The project served as additional efforts to provide yet another platform for members of the public to channel their donations to DANA, which was established on August 25, 1998.”

Similar to previous years, he added that “the secretariat of DANA was able to manage the project with assistance from the public and private sector. Radio Television Brunei (RTB) acts as the main disseminator of the information to the public through its broadcasting and radio channels. DST and Progresif Cellular Sdn Bhd, two telecommunication companies also provided sending SMS free-of-charge to DANA. The Mosque Affairs Department through the Friday sermon and the Information Department through Pelita Brunei have also helped to disseminate information.”
