NO INJURIES were reported following a brief turbulence onboard a Royal Brunei Airlines (RB) flight that was enroute to Bandar Seri Begawan from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Saturday afternoon.
The national carrier in a statement issued on its website said that flight BI872 experienced momentary air turbulence during cruise following meal service causing some items to fall onto the floor of the aircraft.
Photos taken on a mobile phone (see bottom photo) by a passenger on the flight showed food and beverage items scattered on the floor of the aircraft’s aisle.
RB said such incidents of turbulences are unexpected and seldom occur but reassured that their crew are fully trained to deal with such operational issues. “No passengers or crew members were hurt during the turbulence and the aircraft landed safely in Bandar Seri Begawan at 02:32pm as scheduled,” the airline added in the statement.
