MAYER, in collaboration with Intracorp (B) Sdn Bhd, is now introducing more exciting kitchen appliances from various brands with the launching of its concept store at the Intracorp Megastore Showroom in Gadong, yesterday.

Present as the guest of honour to officiate the launching of the concept store yesterday was the Deputy High Commissioner of the Malaysian High Commission in Brunei Darussalam, Rafidah binti Abdul Aziz.

The launching ceremony began with a traditional dance performance prior to the ribbon cutting ceremony that marked the opening of the concept store.

In an interview, Cheng Ping Keat, the Chief Executive Officer of Khind Holdings Berhad, said that Mayer Marketing is a Singapore company that represents Aristan, Kitchen Aid as well as Mayer and Mistral. According to him, Mayer is a 100 per cent subsidiary of Khind Holdings Berhad, a Malaysian Company.

“Khind has been around for the last 55 years and our products have been exported to 60 countries worldwide”.

“Mayer sale is very different compared to our competitors. We do a lot of cooking classes and we do a lot of interaction with our customers. I think what is important is that the customers, after they purchased our products, they need to know how to use it. We always wanted to teach our customers how to use our products”, he continued.

“Our warehouse is currently in Singapore for KitchenAid and Artisan products hence the support for the Brunei market is very easy and convenient. So working with Intracorp, we believe that we will have a lot more opportunity in reaching out to the Bruneian consumers and they are becoming a very important distribution centre for our Mayer products as well,” he said.

Meanwhile, Frank Lim, Business Development Manager of Mayer Marketing Pte Ltd and Mistral (Singapore) Pte Ltd said that Mayer in Brunei has been around for more than 10 years and now with its comeback and collaborating with Intracorp, he believed that the brands offered by Mayer can now be widely expand through more areas and more consumers across Brunei.

Among the brands that are offered by Mayer at Intracorp branches include Ariston, Honeywell, KitchenAid, Mistral and Mayer itself.
