A TOTAL of four players will be representing Brunei Darussalam in the Asian Freestyle Football Championship (AFFC) which will set to take place at SM Lanang Mall in Davao, Philippines from December 8-10.
The representatives, who are members of the Brunei Freestyle Football Footwork (BF3), include Za’eemul ‘Adli bin Haji Abu Bakar, Muhammad Faiz bin Abdul Ha’adi, Arif Mustaqim Isa, Isma Faiq bin Haji Ismail, Syafiq Omar Ali and Azizi Mailin and spearheaded by the President of the BF3, Haji Abu Bakar bin Haji Mohd Don with ‘Adi Iskandar bin Haji Abu Bakar leading the team as the chairman.
This will be the fourth edition of the championship and Brunei have participated in each of them since 2013 starting in Vietnam, Indonesia and Malaysia.
The countries that will be competing in the championship include Japan, Indonesia, China, Hong Kong, UAE and others.
The Brunei Freestyle Football Footwork has been active since 2010 which carries a membership of more than 100 people.
BF3 have also been invited by the Asian Freestyle Football Federation (AF3) to regional tournaments in the Red Bull Street Style in Singapore in 2009 as well as the Southeast Asia Freestyle Football Championship in 2014 and 2015 which Brunei emerged champions.
The team will be taking part in the qualifications on December 9 which will determine who will proceed to the top 32 on the same day.
The top 16 and the finals will be held on December 10.
