THE Department of Co-Curriculum Education of the Ministry of Education held a handover ceremony of the donations collected from the recent Silver Run in conjunction with the 25th Teacher’s Day celebration yesterday at the Pusat Ehsan Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam in Kg Bengkurong.
Presenting the handover to the Executive Trustee of Pusat Ehsan, Dato Paduka Dr Haji Omar bin Haji Khalid was the Acting Director of Co-Curriculum Education, Roslin bin Suhailee.
Also at the event was fellow Executive Trustee, Pengiran Datin Hajah Noraini binti Pengiran Dipa Negara Laila Diraja Pengiran Haji Abdul Momin, who also presented a welcoming speech as well as senior officer and head of Administration Unit at the Department of Co-Curriculum Education.
The amount donated was a 10 per cent cut off from the Silver Run charity collection that took place on January 31, 2016 at the Taman Haji Sir Muda Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien, BSB, in hopes of helping students with special needs.
Pusat Ehsan has a total of 163 special need students registered at Pusat Ehsan Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam in Kg Bengkurong and 53 special needs students registered at its centre in Kuala Belait.
