MORE than 400 booths, with 180 local and international exhibitors, will feature at the 19th Consumer Fair from January 18 to 22, 2017 at the International Convention Centre (ICC) in Berakas.
Yesterday, the fair’s organisers, D’Sunlit Events, held a briefing for the exhibitors at its offices in Beribi, which was attended by representatives of the companies and establishments that will be showcasing their respective products at the five-day expo.
Wendy Chok, the Management Executive at D’Sunlit Events, informed the attendees of the latest developments, logistic concerns, rules and regulations, as well as other relevant matters to ensure smooth running of the upcoming event.
The attendees were also provided with details of the fair’s opening ceremony on January 18, 2017.
They were informed that the Blue Zone, which was previously located on the east side of the ICC, has now been shifted to the parking area at the west wing, in order to accommodate over 100 booths.
Shuttle buses to the ICC, meanwhile, will be provided at the Indoor Stadium area for the convenience of consumers and exhibitors.
With the theme of ‘This Year is Yours’, the 19th instalment of the Consumer Fair will be introducing new faces to the public, such as WayBack Burgers and Pelicana Chicken.
Lof Bakery is set to conduct a cupcake-decorating demonstration at the event for all cake lovers and confectionery enthusiasts.
Kingston Beverage and Creamery Sdn Bhd will also hold an ice-cream-decorating presentation, which was one of the most popular activities during the 18th Consumer Fair in June this year.
The Children’s Cancer Foundation (YASKA) will be launching a Tree of Hope for members of the public to give contributions and write messages of hope for children afflicted with cancer.
The proceeds will go to YASKA on the last day of the fair.
Furthermore, the car rental company BETTER Brunei will also be joining the event to offer special promotions and deals to the public.
Other attractions include a ‘POKKA Bonanza Lucky Draw’ on January 21, 2017, a Red Bull Human Foosball game and affordable childcare services for everyone at the expo by KindyKare International.
Additionally, a DST quiz and Loyalty programme will be held at the concourse stage with hamper giveaways and much more by Sarikat Teeyam Majeed.
The 19th Consumer Fair will be open to the public from 10am to 10pm daily, except on Fridays, when it will be closed temporarily from 12noon to 2pm.
