THE Brunei Malay Teachers Association (PGGMB) yesterday
held a gathering at its headquarters in the capital in celebration of Maulidur Rasul.
The event began with a religious talk by Ustaz Haji Mohd Firdaus bin Orang Kaya Kaya Haji Noordin, Deputy Director of the PGGMB Religious Section, who emphasised the meaning and spiritual benefits of the Islamic Kalimah.
The talk was followed by a presentation of cash donations for 33 PGGMB members and close relatives of the association’s deceased members.

The President of PGGMB, Haji Antin bin Ahad, presented the donations to the male recipients, while the Deputy Director of the PGGMB Women’s Section, Dr Hajah Jamilah binti Haji Mohd Yusof, presented the donations to the female recipients.
The event continued with a Dikir Maulud presentation, led by Ustaz Haji Khalidon bin Mohd Salleh, the Secretary of the PGGMB Religious Section.
A Doa Dikir was then read by Ustaz Haji Rusli bin Haji Mohd Salleh, the Director of the PGGMB Religious Section, to conclude the ceremony.
Around 150 PGGMB members and close relatives were present at yesterday’s gathering, including the association’s Supreme Council members.
