THE Peergh team emerged as the overall champion in the final elimination round of the Red Bull Human Foosball Games last Sunday, at the Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Complex, to take home the $300 cash prize.
Second place went to Fiqah Redemption FC, while Giv8 claimed third place.
Business Executive Edwin Eng presented prizes and medals to the top three winners, on behalf of Kingston Beverage and Creamery Sdn Bhd, the sole distributor of the Red Bull energy drink in Brunei Darussalam and the main sponsor of the sporting event.
The recent tournament was jointly organised with Laksamana College of Business, to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Red Bull less sugar drink.
The grand finals are set to take place at the upcoming Consumer Fair at the International Convention Centre (ICC) on January 20-22, 2017.
Fifteen teams and the top three winners will compete against each other for the inaugural Red Bull Human Foosball Challenge Trophy.
Apart from the coveted trophy and title, the tournament champions will receive a $1,000 cash prize.
Second and third-place winners will receive cash prizes of $800 and $500 respectively, with medals.
Allswell Trading Pte Ltd – the sole distributor of the Red Bull energy drink in Malaysia, Singapore, and Brunei – is the main organiser of the Red Bull Human Foosball Challenge 2016, which is the first in the series of thrilling neo-extreme sports activities that endeavour to promote sportsmanship among the youths in Brunei Darussalam.
