THE Kampong Lambak Youth Organisation (PERBEKAL) yesterday paid a visit to Kampong Puni Village Consultative Council (MPK), Temburong District to learn more about local products available in Temburong.
The 43 member delegation, led by President I of PERBEKAL, Pengiran Haji Nordin bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud, was received by Kampong Belingus Village Head and Kampong Puni Acting Village Head Haji Sulaiman bin Haji Ahad and Pengulu Mukim Bangar Haji Abdul Rahman bin Merusin.
The visit began with briefings presented by Kg Belingus Village Head and Kampong Puni Acting Village Head Haji Sulaiman and Penghulu of Mukim Bangar Haji Abdul Rahman on the history of the salted egg industry in Kampong Puni.
They later moved on to the processing area, where they listened to a briefing and saw firsthand how salted egg production is carried out. The talk was presented by Kampong Puni Village Consultative Council Women Bureau members.
They also visited Outward Bound Batang Duri (OBBD) in Temburong. The visit was aimed at helping PERBEKAL members familiarise themselves with local products available in Temburong District as well as to create cohesion and friendship between the two associations.
