THE Wisdom Bowls Club (WBC) of Brunei Darussalam is currently participating in the two-day Bowling Field Championships in the Federal Territory of Labuan, Malaysia.
The WBC is up against the Labuan Sports, Welfare and Culture team in a game of two corners and two rounds in the categories of Pairs, Two in Triples, One in Fours and the Triples VIP.
The club is also fielding players under the age of 20 years in the teenage level, against the Labuan Association of Lawn Bowls.
The WBC is headed by Haji Johari bin Achee, President of the WBC who intends to defend the cup which they won in last year’s edition. Haji Johari is competing in the Triples VIP category, together with Haji Mohd Taha bin Haji Mohd Tahir, the Deputy President II of the WBC.
After the tournament, the WBC will proceed to their next challenge in the Triples International Open at the same venue.
More than 50 teams and several elite players from Malaysia will be competing in the championships, which will take place from December 28 to January 1, 2017.
