THE Ten Pin Master Series: First Annual Tournament of the Champions was launched recently at the Grand Seria Bowling Centre.
The event was hosted by Plaza Sutera Biru and among those in attendance were guest of honour, Haji Haris bin Othman, Belait District Officer; Pengiran Md Noor Joffren bin Pengiran Omar, Managing Partner of Plaza Sutera Biru; Robert Lu Nam Min, Vice President Amateur Bowling (Tenpin) Association of Sarawak; Khalip Latif, Operations Manager of Plaza Sutera Biru; and Tony Lim, Bowling Manager of Plaza Sutera Biru.
Pengiran Md Noor Joffren said the event aimed to provide an avenue for students, teachers and the general public interested in the sport of bowling to nurture their skills.
Pengiran Md Noor Joffren and Haji Haris rolled a bowling ball down the lane to launch the event.

Also present were the Sarawak bowling team, along with their coach, that were the overall champion in SUKMA (Sukan Malaysia) 2016. The Sarawakian bowlers were invited to play friendly games with the local bowlers after the event.
The tournament will be held from January 8 to November 26, 2017, during which qualifying rounds will be held before the grand final in November.
