THE Brunei Open Fencing Championship 2017 continued with the Individual Women’s Sabre and Individual Men’s Epee categories yesterday at the Hassanal Bolkiah Indoor Stadium.
Maylene Pailma won gold for the Individual Women’s Sabre after defeating Allaine Nicole Cortey 15-4. Joint bronze was landed by Cherie Manago and Precious Sapungan.
In the Individual Men’s Epee, Francisco Borja from Philippines won first place against Michael Tan, also from Philippines. In joint bronze place were Muinuddin Masri from Brunei and Aung Wine Thet from Myanmar.
Present to hand over the medals for the Individual Women’s Sabre was Alina binti Ali, Treasurer of Brunei Darussalam Fencing Federation and Huzaimi bin Haji Abdul Kassim, Technical Director of Brunei Darussalam Fencing Federation, presented the medals for the Individual Men’s Epee.
