In a press release, it was highlighted that PIHEC will provide an ideal platform for Brunei’s local MSMEs and open up opportunities for them to engage with exhibitors and trade clients from across Southeast Asia, West Asia and Europe to promote and market their businesses.

Local MSMEs with products and services related to Halal consumables, including food and beverages, pharmaceutical and nutraceutical products are invited to participate, as well as Halal certified premises, which include abattoirs, hotels and restaurants, food franchises and such, and also halal non-food products, such as cosmetics and Muslim apparels.

Islamic information technology, Islamic education and publication and any Islamic-related industries, Islamic banking and financial institutions, takaful agencies are also invited, while travel agencies, Islamic NGOs, and any Islamic-related institutions and associations are also invited to participate.

“Sponsorships will be given to successful applicants for one representative per company in the form of hotel accommodation, booth rental fees, shipment of exhibit products and local transportation,” the press release added.
