THE Putra Seni Group recently held a living arts and cultural gathering titled Temu Seni at the Youth Centre Café in the capital.
Living art is a platform of highlighting the various fields of art, which was attended by all players from the local arts through activities that are pursued through the interaction of intellectuals.
It is intended to be a catalyst for intellectuals and an artistic hub as well as a field to display high artistic level and prestige developed by local art enthusiasts.
Temu Seni was operated in a casual and simple manner.
The objectives were to highlight issues related to art, whether in the context of art figures and entities of local and global art products. It also acts as a promoter of the arts.
The guest for Temu Seni was Bernard Chauly, an Indonesian film director and writer. Among the films he directed include ‘Manisnya Cinta Di Cappadocia’, ‘Istanbul, Aku Datang’ and ‘Gol dan Ginchu’.
Topics discussed on that day were on Malay movies at present and a series of brainstorming sessions. It was chaired by the Chief of Putra Seni Group, Mohd Zefri Arif bin Mohd Zain Arif.
Film serves various social approaches and is accepted as a product of art in societies that have diversity in background and status in life.
Technological developments in the film industry have opened-up more space for players to explore new areas, particularly in terms of visual presentation.
Malay film is no exception in incorporating elements of ‘global film’ and put the players in this industry to look at various alternatives to make a best seller.
