A CLOSING ceremony was held yesterday for the Diabetes Education Programme ‘Teraja 7’ that was held in conjunction with World Diabetes Day 2016 and Suri Seri Begawan Hospital’s 44th anniversary.
The ceremony took place at the hospital’s Health Leaning and Development Centre with Belait District Officer Haji Haris bin Othman as the guest of honour.
The programme aimed to educate the public on the causes and complications of Type-2 diabetes.

Some 35 recipients also received certificates for completing a nurse training course on diabetes education.
“For the diabetes education programme ‘Teraja 8’ in 2017, 20 people have registered and will begin the programme on February 18,” she added.
“We hope that the public will become more aware of diabetes and visit their local hospitals for a check-up.”
