THE Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Mosque in the capital hosted the ‘Masjidku Makmur, Negara Berkat’ programme yesterday.
The programme, which is organised by the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) through the Mosque Affairs Department, Islamic Da’wah Centre, Islamic Syiar Development Division with the cooperation of the Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Mosque, is an initiative to increase worshippers’ attendance to glorify the mosque and continuously perform the Subuh prayer in congregation.
The programme also gives worshippers the opportunity to visit the capital to attend the weekly ‘Bandarku Ceria’ activities.
The Prosperous Mosque, Blessed Nation programme yesterday saw a talk titled ‘Physical Activity by Performing Dawn Prayer’ presented by a permanent speaker from the Islamic Da’wah Centre, Ustaz Dr Haji Ismuhadi bin Haji Abdullah.
Joining the worshippers at the congregation was Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs Dato Paduka Awang Haji Abdul Mokti bin Haji Mohd Daud and his spouse, deputy permanent secretaries, senior officers and staff of the ministry.
The presence of worshippers in glorifying the mosque could enliven the practice by Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and instil a sense of equality among Muslim Ummah in performing prayers and carrying out pious acts, the speaker said.
“Glorifying mosques nationwide is a platform for us to multiply our good deeds and to receive blessings from Allah the Almighty for ourselves, our family and the nation,” he added.
Members of the public can kick-start their daily routine and gain blessings by participating in mass Subuh prayer and to reap the benefits and rewards through performing ‘Wirid’ after every prayer and enrol in religious activities.
