THE festivities of the Lunar New Year of the Rooster received a royal touch yesterday with His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah binti Pengiran Haji Salleh Ab Rahaman gracing a number of open houses hosted by prominent figures in the Chinese community.
Accompanying Their Royal Highnesses were Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Muda ‘Abdul Muntaqim, Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Anak Muneerah Madhul Bolkiah and Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Muda Muhammad Aiman.
One of the open houses attended by Their Royal Highnesses was at the residence of Jackson Ting, Managing Director of D’Sunlit Sdn Bhd, located at Kg Sungai Besar in Jalan Kota Batu.
Upon arrival, Their Royal Highnesses were greeted by Jackson Ting and spouse. The royal entourage also had a group photo session with the Ting family which was followed by a festive meal. After the meal, Their Royal Highnesses signed photographs taken with the host family.
Their Royal Highnesses also visited the open house hosted by Dato Seri Lau Kung Ching, Managing Director of Goldmyne Hardware Sdn Bhd at his residence in Jalan Tutong. The royal entourage was greeted upon arrival by Dato Seri Lau Kung Ching and spouse. After the meal, Their Royal Highnesses had a group photo session with the host family.

In the afternoon, Their Royal Highnesses visited the open house hosted by Ching Ing Nang of the Bayu Ilham Company at his residence in Kg Jangsak. The royal family members were greeted by Ching Ing Nang, spouse and family members. After the meal, Their Royal Highnesses had a group photo session with the family.
Their Royal Highnesses also visited the house of Lim Chin Yee in Kg Subok where the royal entourage was greeted by Lim and his family members. The Lim family also took the opportunity to take a group photo with Their Royal Highnesses.
From Kg Subok, Their Royal Highnesses headed to the house of Pehin Kapitan Lela Diraja Dato Paduka Awang Goh King Chin where the royal family members were greeted by Pehin Kapitan Lela Diraja Dato Paduka Goh King Chin, spouse and family members.
Pehin Dato Paduka Goh and spouse had the opportunity to share some light moments and have a photo session with Their Royal Highnesses.
Separately, His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Malik and Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Raabi’atul ‘Adawiyyah binti Pengiran Haji Bolkiah and their daughter Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Anak Muthee’ah Raayatul Bolqiah also graced the open houses hosted by Lim and Goh families.
