A TOTAL of $5,000 was donated by the Association of the Wives of Cabinet Ministers, Deputy Ministers, Permanent Secretaries and Deputy Permanent Secretaries for the fire victims of Kampong Pandai Besi ‘A’ and Kampong Lorong Dalam yesterday.
The donation presentation was held at the Ministry of Home Affairs in the capital.
Handing over the donation was Datin Paduka Hajah Jahrah binti Haji Mohammad, representative of the association, to Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia (Dr) Haji Awang Abu Bakar bin Haji Apong, Minister of Home Affairs, in his capacity as the co-advisor of the Kampong Pandai Besi ‘A’ and Kampong Lorong Dalam Fire Victims Charity Fund.
It is hoped that the donation can help and ease the burden of the fire victims and their families.
