THE National Disaster Management Centre (NDMC) with the Temburong District Office recently organised a workshop on National Standard Operating Procedure (NASOP) at the Pekan Bangar Community Hall Complex.
The one-day programme aimed holistically to give attention to disaster operations at the district level, while emphasising roles and responsibilities, especially concerning the government agencies in disaster operations management.
The workshop was attended by approximately 40 participants from the District Disaster Management Committee (DDMC).
It was to ensure the NDMC’s continuous commitment that disaster operations management is effective at every stage.
The workshop and briefing session was also attended by Abdul Rahim bin Haji Ismail, the Acting Director of NDMC, Acting District Officer Haji Adnan bin Haji Adam and senior officers of Temburong District.
