MOHD Adi Salihin bin Roslan is off to a flying start at the Pars Wushu Cup in Iran after clinching gold in his first event.
The youngster carded 9.48 points in the nanquan event to claim the gold medal.
National wushu coach Lu Hui was ecstatic with the achievement.
“This is a world class competition and our athletes have managed to outshine some of the best from 11 countries.
“I am proud of the gold medal performance. This is a good preparation for the upcoming Sea Games in Malaysia.
“We must participate in more competition to gain more exposure and experience,” Lu Hui added.
