MOHD Adi Salihin bin Roslan grabbed his second gold medal and added a bronze to his haul to cap off a memorable outing at the sixth Grand Pars Wushu Cup in Iran.
The Bruneian powered the country to third spot in the overall rankings, finishing above the likes of India, Pakistan and Singapore.
Mohd Adi Salihin claimed top spot in the nandao event, outshining two Iranian athletes en route to carding 9.56 points.
The youngster settled for bronze in the nangun event, registering 8.8 points.
Iranian Mostafa Hassanzadesh took gold with 9.39 points while Mohammad Mirkani grabbed silver with nine points.
Brunei national wushu coach Lu Hui said, “Brunei have become the talk of the town after Mohd Adi Salihin dished out some impressive performances.
“Watching him in action had many people in shock. People are talking because they’re surprised over how much wushu has progressed in Brunei.”
Lu Hui revealed that his next plan in preparation of the upcoming Malaysia SEA Games is to send the athletes to China for training in May or June.
“The training is also in preparation for the World Wushu Championship in September this year,” he added.
