BASED on customers’ feedback, BETTER Sdn Bhd, Brunei’s biggest local car rental company, is offering unlimited mileage package together with lower deposit which can go as low as $1 depending on car models as well as packages.
This was revealed yesterday by Mubashar Khokhar, Chairman of the company, who is also Managing Director of Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam, in his welcoming remark at the launch of the BETTER Car Expo at The Mall taking place from April 21 to May 7, 2017.
With the new improvement, Mubashar Khokhar hopes that more financially smart customers will choose BETTER for their vehicles.
“We will continue to learn and grow with our customers, take into consideration their feedbacks and work harder to become a truly ‘better’ car company,” he said.
“BETTER was launched by the Minister of Communications in November 2016 and within a very short period it has gained acceptance from customers for its new concept which is based on easy, flexible and value for money,” he added.
The ‘pay as you go’ business model of the company, he explained, “means that customers will always have the option to return the car or exchange it with a new car and pay only based on the time and mileage suiting their personal circumstances and financial position. Customers are no longer locked in for a long period unlike conventional financing contracts.”
Dr Haji Supry bin Haji Awang Ladi, Director of Land Transport, launched the expo yesterday.
According to Firdaus Mokim, Chief Operating Officer of BETTER Sdn Bhd, “since its start in December last year, the company has received overwhelming response from the public and offered almost 300 cars for rent. The success came because of the company’s core values of flexibility, unbelievable deals and fixed price.”
Currently, BETTER has 16 car models available for rent and is looking at increasing its fleet of car brands, he added.
The BETTER mobile phone app has so far seen more than 30,000 downloads, he revealed, adding that the app won silver awards at the Mobile Excellence (MOB-EX) Awards 2017 in Best Campaign Direct Response and Informative Use of Mobile categories.
