BRUNEI Darussalam Petanque Federation (BDPF) headed by its president Abdul Ghani bin Dato Paduka Haji Mohd Ali recently made a goodwill visit to the Negeri Sembilan Petanque Association (PEPNES).
The president was accompanied by eight administrative and common committee members from the federation.
The main objective of the visit was to strengthen closer ties between both sporting associations as well as to hold a dialogue session aimed towards enhancing the progress of the sport between both countries.
Also included in the itinerary of the visit was a petanque exhibition match between working committee members of the BDPF and PEPNES.
PEPNES has been organising the Port Dickson International Petanque Open since the first time it was held in 2013.
The competition initially attracted 300 international teams including teams from Brunei Darussalam. It is one of the biggest petanque tournaments in the region held annually which attracts international teams from across Asia and Europe.
