IN THE run-up to Ramadhan, 16 mosques in the Belait District were recently presented donations in the form of cartons of bottled mineral water and dates, courtesy of Serikandi Group of Companies.
The donation presentation ceremony was held at the Mohammad Jamalul Alam Mosque in Kuala Belait.
Belait District Officer cum guest of honour Haji Haris bin Othman handed over the donations to the mosque representatives, in the presence of Serikandi Group of Companies Chief Executive Officer Shaikh Haji Khalid bin Shaikh Haji Ahmad.
The Mohammad Jamalul Alam Mosque, RPN Kampong Pandan Mosque, Pekan Seria Mosque, STKRJ Lorong 3 Selatan Seria Mosque, Zainab Mosque, and Kampong Sungai Liang Mosque received 40 cartons of mineral water and two cartons of dates.

Meanwhile, Kampong Sungai Teraban Mosque, Kampong Bukit Sawat Mosque, Al-Mashhor Mosque Kampong Sungai Mau, Kampong Labi Mosque, Kampong Sukang Religious Hall, Kampong Melilas Religious Hall, Merangking Religious Hall, Panaga Police Station Surau, Haji Ibrahim Surau, and Mashhor Gen Contractor Surau each received 30 cartons of water and two cartons of dates.
The Belait District is the first district to receive the donation from Serikandi Group of Companies this year.
