HIS Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, yesterday morning received in audience Dr Awwad bin Saleh Al-Awwad, Minister of Culture and Information of Saudi Arabia as the Special Envoy to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques His Majesty King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, King of Saudi Arabia.
During the audience ceremony, His Majesty received an invitation from His Majesty King Salman to attend the Arab Islamic – US Summit, which will be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Accompanying the Minister of Culture and Information of Saudi Arabia was Hisham bin Abdul Wahab bin Abdullah Zaraa, Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Brunei Darussalam.
Also present during the audience ceremony was Dato Paduka Awang Haji Erywan bin Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Haji Mohd Yusof, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade II.
The ceremony took place at Istana Nurul Iman.
