IN LINE with its vision in providing assistance and services to the community, the Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah (Yayasan) yesterday held a ceremony to hand over financial contributions totalling $45,600 to a number of mosques, suraus and religious halls in all four districts.
On hand to present the contributions was the Managing Director of Yayasan, Haji Brahim bin Haji Ismail.
The financial contribution is hoped to serve as assistance for the mosque Takmir committee to carry out religious programmes and activities especially for the upcoming month of Ramadhan.
The annual charitable contribution was also in line with one of the objectives of the establishment of Yayasan in the field of Islamic development in the country which is to strengthen religious eminence.
A total of 50 mosques, suraus and religious halls received their respective contributions including 17 in Brunei-Muara District; 19 in Tutong District; five in Belait District and nine in Temburong District.
