MEMBERS of the public looking to apply for the many Industrial Skills Qualification or ISQ programmes offered by IBTE, can visit the IBTE Nakhoda Ragam Campus located at Muara-Tutong Highway, Lambak for the IBTE Open Day for the ISQ 7th Intake.
The two-day IBTE Open Day ceremony for the ISQ 7th Intake which began yesterday, was graced by Munirah Atirah binti Dato Paduka Haji Othman, the Acting Principal of IBTE Central.
The acting principal in her remarks highlighted that the open day “would be a good avenue for us to share our experience with the prospective students to provide them with awareness on the career progressions of each trades and job expectations in the real working environment”.
The aim of the open day is to provide an opportunity for applicants to get a closer look at the programmes offered.
There will be a live demonstration of related ISQ from industry representatives.
The open day also served to provide an avenue for members of the public to interact with students of ISQ who have completed their studies and are currently working in the local industry.
Six programmes are offered for the 7th ISQ Intake which is ISQ in Welder, ISQ in Scaffolder, ISQ in Rigger, ISQ in Marker/Fitter, ISQ in Industrial Blaster and Painter, and ISQ in Heavy Vehicle Driver.
Qualified applicants will be assessed through interviews in August this year.
Applicants will be contacted through the telephone, announced in the official website of IBTE, Facebook IBTE as well as Instagram IBTE.
The 7th ISQ intake is expected to start its study session from early September 2017. Online registration through www/ibte.edu.bn started yesterday and will conclude on June 30.
