IN THE run-up to Ramadhan, the Brunei Darussalam Red Crescent Society in collaboration with the Islamic Da’wah Centre yesterday hosted the ‘Infaq Jariah’ programme, through ‘Projek Ikhlas 6.0.’

Big-hearted members of the public came forward with donations of rice, sugar, canned food and other necessities in support of the programme, which played out at the Islamic Da’wah Centre in Kampong Pulaie.

Speaking to the Bulletin, Community and Resilience Empowerment (CARE) Director Isham bin Ismail explained that Projek Ikhlas 6.0 is a continuation of the previous projects.

“Our target for this project is to provide special assistance in the form of food necessities to Muslim converts across the country, who are registered under the Islamic Da’wah Centre,” he said.

The Islamic Da’wah Centre will distribute the contributions to lessen the burden of recipients for the upcoming months of Ramadhan and Syawal.
