QAISARA Dreams has brought the KL Mega Raya to Brunei, as a means of encouraging members of the public to shop for their Hari Raya clothing at a local venue.
Dayangku Siti Nurazirah binti Pengiran Haji Besar told the Bulletin that Bruneians can now shop for their favourite brands without having to spend money going abroad.
“Prior to the KL Mega Raya, we conducted a random survey on which brands to bring in that are mostly preferred by the public,” she said.
The five-day event also serves as platform for local entrepreneurs to establish collaborative partnerships with their Malaysian counterparts.
Among the participating labels are Losravelda, Zareeth Zehra, Schawalara, Creacion by Siti Nurhaliza, Aisy Asyraf by Imam Muda Asyraf, Izzue Exclusive and Wak Doyok.
In an interview with the Bulletin, Syahrul, the owner of Uthobe, said that there is very little difference between fashions in Brunei and Malaysia.
“Uthobe is suited to those who love vibrant and hipster styles. It combines printed and plain colours, which are sure to attract young people,” he said.
Meanwhile, Nora Danish, the owner of OWL by Nora Danish, said that the event is providing a platform for both her and other brands to get personal with their clientele.
The sale, which runs from May 31 to June 4, features a wide collection of shawls, veils and dresses which are popular with Bruneian customers.
