FOUR students from the Tutong Sixth Form Centre (PTET) left for Singapore yesterday, to participate in the 6th STEP-NUS Sunburst Brain Camp from June 4-10.
The participating students are Dayangku Nur Haziqah Syuhadah binti Pengiran Izudin Abas, Izzul Afiq Amirun bin Muayah, Mohamad Naqib Nasrullah bin Mohammad Yussof, and Norzarifah binti Ishak, who are being chaperoned by a teacher, Raihan binti Haji Nokman.
The camp is a joint collaboration between the Singapore Technologies Endowment Programme (STEP) and the National University of Singapore (NUS), where youths from South Asia and the Asean region are given the opportunity to participate in interactive sessions with scientists on the topic of brain-related diseases.
Brunei Darussalam has been involved with the programme since its establishment in 2012, and this year the participating students will present a research paper on Williams Syndrome.
