All Bruneians in UK are safe

ALL Bruneians currently in the United Kingdom are safe following a terror attack in Central London late Saturday night, that has left at least seven people dead and 48 injured.

There have been no reports of Bruneians including students, government officers and their families directly affected or injured in the attack, the Brunei Darussalam High Commissioner to the United Kingdom (UK) of Great Kingdom and Northern Ireland Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin said yesterday while assuring that the high commission will continue to monitor the safety of all Bruneians in the UK.

Bruneians who need any assistance or information may contact the high commission’s hotline at 00447481270501 or office line at 00442075810521.

The high commissioner also advised Bruneians to be on alert, cautious and avoid the affected areas and said Bruneians who wish to go to the UK to spend their holidays should inform them by sending their contact details to info@bruneihicom@org.uk.

Brunei Hall in Norfolk Square, London also advised all Bruneian students to be aware of the incident and to report themselves to their society leaders immediately if they are currently in the UK.
