THE Employees Trust Fund (TAP) held a Khatam Al-Quran and Tahlil ceremony yesterday at the Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Mosque in conjunction with the holy month of Ramadhan for the year 1438 Hijrah.
Present as the guest of honour at the ceremony was Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports as the Chairman of the TAP Board of Directors.
Also present were TAP Board members, members of TAP’s Investment Panel and Audit Committee as well as TAP officers and staff.
The ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by the guest of honour, followed by a mass recitation of Al-Quran verses and Takhtim.
The event continued with the Doa Khatam led by Mudim Haji Amran bin Haji Mohammad Salleh.
The Doa Allah Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam was led by Pehin Khatib Dato Paduka Haji Emran bin Haji Kunchang.
TAP in a press release stated, the event is organised annually by the Welfare and Sports Body of TAP (BKSTAP) in conjunction with the holy month of Ramadhan.
