IN CONJUNCTION with the holy month of Ramadhan, many religious and welfare activities are being conducted to seek blessings from Allah the Almighty.
A Tedarus ceremony organised by the Women’s Council of Brunei Darussalam (MWNBD) was held yesterday.
The Tedarus ceremony by the Women’s Division of Brunei Malay Teachers Association (PGGMB), also a Religious Division Committee of MWNBD was held at the PGGMB building in the capital.
The event began with a mass recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by Cikgu Pengiran Datin Paduka Hajah Mariam binti Pengiran Haji Matarsat, the Vice-President I of MWNBD.
Apresentation of donation from the PGGMB to MWNBD was also held in conjunction with the Khatam Al-Quran of MWNBD to be held tomorrow.

The donation was presented by Cikgu Pengiran Hajah Rakiah binti Pengiran Haji Abu Bakar, Director of Women’s Division of PGGMB in her capacity as the Chairperson of Religious Division of MWNBD to Cikgu Pengiran Datin Paduka Hajah Mariam.
The event concluded with the recitation of Doa Selamat by Cikgu Hajah Halimah binti Yakub while the recitation of ‘Doa Allah Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam’ was recited by Cikgu Hajah Jusnani binti Taha.
Among the objectives of the ceremony were to enhance the ability to read the Al-Quran as well as to strengthen ties among the members of the association and instil the spirit of cooperation in implementing any welfare and beneficial activities.
