AS THE holy month of Ramadhan draws to a close, various companies throughout the country are stepping up efforts to give back to the local community.
One such company is Rennah Services Sdn Bhd; the Kuala Belait-based industrial machinery and equipment firm which recently made a series of donations to communities living in Ulu Belait.
The company’s managing directors, Masenah binti Haji Mohamad and Alan Wong, and other staff members of the company visited the households of selected residents in Kampong Merangking and Labi, and personally handed over the donations to the residents.
More than 20 residents – including orphans – received the donations, which comprised daily essentials.
The contributions were meant to lessen the financial burden of the recipients for the upcoming Hari Raya celebrations so that they are able to enjoy the festivities.
