SIXTEEN babies who were born on May 8 received gifts from the Brunei Darussalam Red Crescent Society (BDRCS) at an event to mark the World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day.
BDRCS together with 17 million volunteers from 190 national societies in the world celebrated the World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day on May 8.
Parents of 11 newborns received their gifts at the Women and Children’s Block at the Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha (RIPAS) Hospital presented by Datin Hajah Siti Hajar binti Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Setia Dato Paduka Haji Mohammad Yusof, the Advisor to BDRCS.
Another two babies received their gifts at the Tutong PMMPMHAMB Hospital where Hajah Rusmah binti Haji Muksin, the spouse of the Acting Tutong District Officer, presented the gifts to the recipients. In the Belait District, gifts were presented to the remaining three babies’ families.
