TWENTY-THREE new security personnel yesterday received certificates after completing a course conducted by retired members of the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) and the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF), at the Koperasi Security Officer Training School (KOPRI).
The new security personnel, of whom four are women, also passed the security screening conducted by the RBPF.
KOPRI Chief Executive Officer Dato Paduka Haji Manan bin Osman handed out the certificates.
This followed with the presentation of certificates of appreciation and food hampers to six security officers who had help prevent incidences of theft at their workplaces.
The security officers receiving the honours were SV 328 Jupri bin Haji Abdul Jalil, who hindered an act of theft at Warisan Utama Batu on March 2; SV 3234 Ibrahim Omar, SEC 2892 Rosli bin Tengah and SEC 3200 Seliha binti Mustafa, who foiled the theft of wire cable and batteries on May 23, in Rimba; and SEC 1671 Md Aris Syamsiddin bin Sallehuddin and SEC 2563 Md Nasri bin Hasmi, who stalled an act of theft at a commercial area in Berakas.
