A ‘FARMER’S Market’ was organised yesterday in conjunction with the BIMP-EAGA Cultural and Food Tourism Expo 2017, at Eco Ponies Garden in Ban Nukat, Lamunin in Tutong District.
The event, which showcased a variety of exotic delicacies from ethnic communities including an ethnic group from Sarawak, was officiated by Wardi bin Haji Mohammad Ali, Deputy Permanent Secretary (Tourism) at the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism.
The event let visitors sample and purchase local food products. It was part of the welcoming features for delegates who came to Brunei, the deputy permanent secretary said.
He said the event aimed to showcase the rich variety of traditional delicacies and make itself one of the destinations under the community-based tourism industry in Brunei.
The Farmer’s Market was also visited by local residents and school students.
