Patriotism briefing for STPRI students

STUDENTS of Raja Isteri Girls High School (STPRI) were yesterday briefed on the importance of the correct procedures in hoisting and lowering the national flag along with knowing the history, meaning and concept behind the national anthem and flag.

The briefing was held during the presentation ‘Appreciating The National Anthem and National Flag’ conducted by Pengiran Ikram bin Pengiran Haji Ahmad, Assistant Information Officer of the Information Department at the Prime Minister’s Office.

A video presentation on the concepts was also conducted to 170 Year 7 STPRI students. They also viewed a video presentation on a mobile app created by the Information Department.

Also present at the briefing were Hajah Susilawati binti Dato Paduka Haji Muhammad, Principal of STPRI, along with deputy principal, senior teachers and teachers.

A quiz related to the talk was also conducted by Dona Azfina binti Ibrahim, Information Officer of the Information Department, providing the students the opportunity to win prizes presented by the department.

The briefing was part of the programme by the Information Department at the Prime Minister’s Office which aims to instil patriotism and love among students as well as developing respect and appreciation towards their nation, religion, monarchy and country.
