THE Open Day Plus at St James’ School provided an opportunity for parents and guardians to visit the school and observe the care and love the school extends to students while encouraging them to excel in their studies and also participate in extra-curricular activities, Principal Haji Md Masa Masdi bin Md Sa’idun said.
He made these comments at the event held at the school compound yesterday, where over 590 students from Kindergarten 1 to Year 11 participated along with teachers, parents and guardians.
The event saw performances and entertaining activities held for the participants as well as promoting local business ventures.
Haji Md Masa Masdi while thanking the participants, praised teachers, students and other staff members for preparing the various performances and activities.
He also hoped to see all parents and guardians at future events as well.
The main objective of the Open Day Plus was to provide an opportunity to showcase the students’ talents to parents, guardians and the community.
Among the performances were singing, dancing and a fashion show.
Following the performances, the principal and guests observed plays each class had prepared in their classroom.
Some students had converted their classrooms to ‘A haunted house’, ‘Nerf foam shooting range’ and ‘Science exhibition’.
Parents also registered their children for next year during the event.
