EVERY private institution of higher learning should provide a strategic plan and key performance indicators (KPIs) that would empower it to a higher level with greater credibility.

This is critical to ensure that all graduates of these institutions meet the current demand and are ready to face future expectations, Pehin Orang Kaya Indera Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Suyoi bin Haji Osman, the Minister of Education, said yesterday.

Participating at Micronet International College’s graduation ceremony, the Minister of Education said the employment requirements change according to current trends.

“Skills are very important nowadays and every employer expects their employees to possess these skills,” he said.

“I urge the handlers and drivers of private institutions of higher learning to ensure that their academic standards are of high quality.

“I also hope that Micronet International College could widen and strengthen its work culture through entrepreneurial approaches. This is useful to produce graduates with big hearts who are ready to place themselves in the global job market,” the minister added.

A total of 373 students received their certificates and awards; of that 164 were presented with the Diploma in Computing from the NCC Education Level 3, the NCC Education Level 4 and the NCC Education Level 5.
