THE Berakas Health Centre will be opening its door to residents of Mukim Berakas on May 16.
Located at the RPN Lambak Kanan beside RPN Lambak Kanan Mosque, the health centre will be providing core services including primary care services such as an outpatient clinic, chronic disease clinic and a flu clinic, other facilities at the centre include mother and children health services, dental services, pharmaceutical services and special services such as rehabilitation services, psychiatric services, healthy lifestyle clinic, radiology (X-ray) services and paramedical services.
The health centre will also provide amenities such as surau, breast-feeding room and is in the process of providing an eatery at the centre. In order to facilitate the transfer of the Berakas ‘A’ Health Centre, the RPN Lambak Kanan Clinic and Sungai Hanching Clinic will be closed on May 14 and the Health Centre Berakas ‘B’ will be closed at l2.15pm on the same day.
During the closing day, residents living in the Berakas ‘A’ area who wish to obtain basic healthcare services are advised to visit the Pengiran Anak Puteri Hajah Muta-Wakkilah Hayatul Bolkiah Health Centre at: Spg 256-23, Kg Rimba, Gadong. Meanwhile, people living in the Berakas ‘B’ area may pay a visit to the Bandar Seri Begawan Health Centre (Ong Sum Ping).
As a further initiative to deliver excellent services, the largest health centre in Brunei will also be extending its operating hours from 7am to 9pm on Monday to Thursday and Saturday, and from 2pm to 9pm on Friday, Sunday and public holidays.
The Basic Healthcare Centre at Bandar Seri Begawan Health Centre (Ong Sum Ping) will be transferred and taken over by the health centre in Berakas.
The service will be carried out using an appointment system where patients must make reservations with a doctor or by calling 2333991.
Patients and visitors are advised to register at least 30 minutes prior to the appointment.
