BRUNEI Darussalam national synchronised swimmers Jacqueline Lim Guan Fan and Nur Hafizah binti Ahmad produced a valiant effort during their ninth place finish in the Duet Free Routine finals in the 29th Southeast Asian (SEA) Games at the National Aquatic Centre in KL Sports City, Bukit Jalil yesterday.

The national synchronised pair, who took the rare honour of introducing Brunei’s synchro talents in the SEA Games, posted a score of 56.7000.

“We performed much better today. We’re not as experienced as the other teams, and this is Brunei’s first time competing in synchronised swimming at the SEA Games so I feel like we can improve a lot from here,” said Nur Hafizah.

The national synchronised swimmer will hope that their efforts in Southeast Asia’s most prestigious competition will help showcase the nation’s abilities in the sport.

“Hopefully our performance here has shown that Brunei can participate in the sport and will make it more popular back home,” added the national synchronised swimmer.SEA GAMES 2017
