JUNJUNG, a local food production company that specialises in local delicacy such as the famous layered cake (Kek Lapis), opened an outlet at the Brunei International Airport’s passenger’s hall.
The outlet was officially opened by Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Mustappa bin Haji Sirat, Minister of Communications during a media day tour yesterday, showcasing a burgeoning retail range happening at the airport.
The General Manager, Pengiran Siti Hazalina binti Pengiran Indera Perkasa Pengiran Haji Hamdan said its first retail outlet at the Brunei International Airport is a starting point in their plan to expand their business to other commercial outlet in Brunei and abroad.
According to Junjung, the company is branding its product range with high quality packaging with the idea of making it more appealing to international customers, travellers and tourists.
The product range also includes popular local delicacy such as ‘Kuih Mor’, Pineapple tart and others such as the all-time favourite Chocolate Chip Cookies. All the food products are produced locally at the factory in Brunei, and all ingredients are Halal.
“It is our intention to make the travelling and transiting experience more appealing for people,” said Pengiran Siti Hazalina.
