OVER 3,000 emerging music talents from all over the world showcased their musical prowess in the 4th Hong Kong International Music Festival (HKIMF), held at the Tsuen Wan Town Hall in Hong Kong last August 20-25.
Participants hailed from different parts of the globe, such as Brunei Darussalam, the United States, China, Portugal, Singapore, South Korea, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Japan, and other countries.
Ten aspiring students from Expression Music Academy represented Brunei Darussalam in the music festival.
The first-place for Youth Pop Voice divison won by Eden Chiam, while Evan Chiam took the fifth-place and Jia Yi Onn received the Gold award. Meanwhile Luis Lim took the fourth-place for Junior Pop Voice divison and Dalton Hii received the Silver award for Beginner Pop Voice divison.
Shian Li Chiam took the second-place for the Adult Piano division.
The third place for Youth Violin division was won by Evan Chiam, while the Silver award was given to Vivienne Poh. Also Glory Roslily received the Gold award for Junior Violin division.
Jian Rong Chee and Weldon Hii received the Silver award for Junior and Children Drum Kit division respectively.
