As the number of athletes grew, the national team returned competitively in the 2014 Asian Para Games in Incheon, South Korea where they won bronze in the Mixed Team event through the trio of Muhammad Jamary Danggat, Kamarul Ariffin and Saidin.

Other achievements also included Saidin winning bronze in the TPB2 event in the Men’s Singles and the trio of Muhammad Jamary, Kamarul Ariffin and Saidin claiming bronze in the Men’s Trios event, both in Singapore.

The bowling event was not included when Myanmar hosted the Asean Para Games in 2014.

Other top competitions that the national para ten pin bowling team have joined are the IBSA Tenpin Bowling World Championships where they achieved a personal best and the Asia Para Tenpin Bowling Federation (APTBF) Bowling Championships in Manila, Philippines.

The Manila meet also served as part of their overseas preparations towards the much-anticipated 9th Asean Para Games in Kuala Lumpur.

The national team trained extensively in the country for the last few months as they bid to win medals in a number of categories.

Similar to athletics and cycling, a selection process was also held with 16 athletes originally taking part last May.

Individuals who attended the selection process was provided a game to measure their capabilities and the main criteria of selecting the athletes were identifying potential to win medals as well as comparing the standards that have been set in Singapore.

The competition dates for ten pin bowling is between September 19-22 at the Sunway Pyramid, Subang Jaya.
