254 pilgrims arrive in 4th and last flight

THE fourth and last flight carrying 254 Haj pilgrims landed safely yesterday, at the Brunei International Airport.

Flight BI4222 arrived with 204 pilgrims under Darussalam Holdings Sdn Bhd and 41 under Raudah Al-Amin Sdn Bhd, along with nine officers from the Haj Medical Team, Darussalam Holdings and Raudah Al-Amin.

The returning pilgrims were welcomed by Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, the Minister of Religious Affairs and his spouse.

Also present were Dato Seri Setia Haji Abdul Aziz bin Orang Kaya Maharaja Lela Haji Mohd Yusof, the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs; Haji Harun bin Haji Junid, the Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs; and Hammad Al-Sayarry, a representative of the Royal Embassy of the Saudi Arabia in Brunei Darussalam.

A Doa Selamat was then read at the Arrival Hall by Ahmad Syafiq bin Haji Osman, a Mosque Affairs Officer at the Ministry of Religious Affairs.

One of the returning pilgrims, Pengiran Haji Zainal Abidin bin Pengiran Haji Metarsad from STKRJ Kampong Rimba, expressed his gratitude for all the assistance and lodgings provided to them throughout their journey.

Another pilgrim, Pengiran Haji Aliuddin bin Pengiran Haji Ibrahim, thanked all those responsible for ensuring a smooth and safe passage for all Haj pilgrims this year, while fulfilling their religious obligations.
