THE Language and Literature Bureau (DBP) Brunei yesterday received a visit by Tun Dato’ Seri Utama (Dr) Haji Abdul Rahman bin Haji Abbas, Yang di-Pertua Negeri of Penang at the DBP Library in Lambak Kanan.
The tour began with a commemorative parchment signing session of the visit and followed by a short briefing of the DBP Brunei delivered by its Acting Director, Suip bin Haji Abdul Wahab. The tour continued with the Yang di-Pertua Negeri of Penang taking a closer look at a section of the first autism-friendly library in the Asean region.
The tour was part of the Yang di-Pertua Negeri of Penang’s visit to attend the Golden Jubilee Celebration of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam’s Accession to the Throne.
Also present were Haji Noor Jusmin bin Haji Abdul Samad, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, and senior officers at the ministry as well as DBP Brunei officers.
