THE Brunei History Centre recently organised an exhibition as part of its continuous programmes to mark the Golden Jubilee Celebration of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam’s Accession to the Throne.
The exhibition, held at Sayyidina Husain Secondary School, was co-organised by the school’s English Faculty.
Senior History Officer Pengiran Hajah Mahani binti Pengiran Haji Ahmad and Acting Principal (Academic) Hajah Norinah binti Haji Mokim were among those present.
The exhibition, dubbed ‘Wajah Kesayangan Rakyat,’ aimed to enhance awareness on the importance of Brunei history, particularly those related to the monarch and his reign. It also showcased national development and the aspirations of His Majesty.
The event also included quizzes, Jawi calligraphy writing, ‘Takapan Batu Nisan’, documentaries on Brunei history, as well as book and photography exhibitions.
